Tony De Vit Tribute Page

About 7 years ago, I discovered dance music.

Until then, I liked rock music, and a lot of heavy metal. I enjoyed music, and therefore listened to it a lot.

But when I discovered dance, it changed my whole outlook on life, in a way that's difficult to describe. It made me feel great. It made me feel inspired. It provided a direction and purpose to my life that previously didn't exist.

When I'm at home, or in the car, and I put on a dance mix, I get the energy rush that I get in a club. It's not just pleasurable - it's uplifting.

Tony De Vit played a significant part in all of this.

A large proportion of my CDs and tapes are by him. His TRADE, and CREAM shows were out of this world.

The last time I saw Tony live was at Amnesia in Ibiza, Summer 1997. On seeing that Tony was playing, I persuaded 3 "dance tolerant" friends that this was a night not to miss. They were totally spun-out by the whole event, and became converted after that. They still talk about that fantastic night to this day.

Tony, you've changed the lives of so many people. You will be missed.

Cheers, Tony. Your music will live on. Rest in peace.

Jamie Jones, July 1998.
